Recent innovations have dramatically improved the capabilities of instruments to detect and monitor more than four targets at the same time. Using the power of multicolor flow cytometry, researchers have advanced many areas of cellular immunology, including detection of rare cell population subsets using assays with 8, 10, or even up to 17 colors.
